Rogue is a prominent character associated with the X-Men in Marvel Comics. She first appeared in *Avengers Annual* #10 (November 1981), as an antagonist.
Born Anna Marie, Rogue is a mutant with the power to absorb the powers, memories, and personalities of others through skin-to-skin contact. This ability initially left her unable to control it, making any physical contact potentially dangerous.
